About Me

Biography

Living in Worthing, I am lucky to be able to enjoy a combination of coastal sea views and scenery offered by the Sussex South downs. Currently working as an Art teacher in West Sussex, my background is in textile and interior design.

The past year has given me renewed vision and a determination to delight the senses with beautiful, dynamic combinations of floral celebration. I am engaged with rich layers and the visual poetics of floral composition, while capturing loose, expressive energy alongside crisp structural lines of reference. I explore these aesthetic relationships, while considering the value of colour, texture and our personal journeys with flora.

Flowers

Flowers are synonymous with rich and wonderful memories, here to document and celebrate pivotal events in our lives with us. Whether this be the wondrous occasion of a wedding, to recalling our mother’s favourite in our childhood home, the memories are forever ours enhanced by scents and experiences to treasure. They continue to greet us and fill our senses with reminders of the brilliant beauty our planet has to offer.

When I create each painting I want to celebrate these living connections and punctuate our homes with that same expression of love and enjoyment that cherished moments offer us. I am exploring the space and colour our personalities enjoy and hopefully bringing optimism to our living spaces.
